Maybe you've been reading only the second part of Proverbs 31?
You should read verses 10-31, but you should also read the first 9 verses of that chapter too...especially verses 8-9:
"Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute.
Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy."
Instead, you were preparing to make fun of us poor and needy! Shame on you!
